Show Jumping Richard Barton

Today I took Mez and Tilly to Richard Barton at Osbaldeston RC for a jumping lesson.  Richard could not believe the difference in Mez as she is so much more confident about everything now.  We just had one stop at the double which was spooky and a parallel, she did manage to take off this time though, just put down in the jump and poor Richard had to do a spot of fence building!  Apart from that she jumped really well and is much more forward and taking me now.  Richard says to keep her head up into the spooky fences and kick!
Tilly jumped her socks off and it is fair to say jumped the best she ever has.  We finished with the fences around BE100 height and she flew over them.  Richard was teaching me to set her up and ride into the fences but down the related distances how to sit and hold or increase the pace so the strides are as even as possible.  She had one fence down which was my fault as I let her run down the four strides and did not check her so she got a little flat and deep to the fence.  I was really pleased with both of them and now can not wait for Stafford ODE on Sunday............
