Box rest, the best canter yet and oohhh, a new yard.........

This is the muck heap after two days of reshaping!  Yesterday Shonagh, Alex and I threw all the muck up to the second step and levelled it off and this morning it was an utter state again!  It is unreal the amount of muck produced on the yard in one day!  So after we had finished all out jobs this morning we reshaped it and levelled it off again!  I will have to try and keep on top of it now but it is the last job on my list every day and I am so worn out by the end of the day and after it has gone dark I can not see it!!
Yesterday Alex and I had a short ride in the huge out door menage to get Millie and Mez used to it.  I levelled in the dark last night so we could ride first thing this morning.  The horses were so well behaved this morning and Mez's canter was amazing...the best yet.  I really feel like we are turning a corner now.  On the down side, I looked on the British Dressage website this morning to find that we actually came 11th not 12th at the Pet Plan finals two weeks ago which is frustrating as they placed to 10th so this means we were so close to a rosette...poor Mez!
Tilly seems a little lame this week so she has been in for two days now and does not understand box rest!  This morning she has been groomed on the yard, had her massage pad on, been for a little lunge to determine if she was still lame, had a walk with Peter and some grass and then popped back in with a bucket of carrots....and she is still trying to tell me I have forgotten to turn her out!

We are taking on another yard at Bartle near Preston and today we went to meet the existing liveries as I wanted them to know what was happening before I started advertising for new liveries.  I was really nervous and had worried about it for two days but it seems that some of them were as worried as I was too!  The result was every one's worries put to rest and I got to meet some lovely people who I hope will become friends in time.   The yard will be run purely as a DIY yard.  It has an indoor school, indoor stables and all year round turnout.  The hacking is also very good apparently so I may even box up and go over for a hack from time to time.  If anyone is interested in a stable there please get in touch as they are filling up fast.
