We have been loose jumping Maisey and Kirkby this week in the school. Kirkby is so exciting to watch as he is so athletic and just pings over everything. Maisey is a little more economical and clears them with the least amount of effort!! Both of them popped a 3foot upright and I have done a little bit of water tray familiarisation with Kirkby this morning too! I will of course have him to start next year aswell and need to take this into consideration when thinking of buying another eventer. Kirkby has been introduced to hind brushing boots this morning and didn't bat an eyelid and as soon as the horsebox comes back from it's MOT, I will get the travel boots out and practice with them....I think he will have something to say about them! I have a month to get them both loading ready for our move.
I have just dug out Tilly's bridle, which I am about to clean, and taken her for a walk down the lane and back. She is sooooo overweight now and it is seriously starting to depress me. She is on Kate Moss haynets and I daren't go on the yard sometimes as she bangs the door when she has finished and will end up injuring herself if I'm not careful. She loved her walk and while the wind has dropped I will do this everyday with her, I am hoping that maybe I'll be able to ride her soon and hack out in an effort to get her in shape! She'll be slimmer of the year at this rate!!
